EDGE @ East Teen Center
A safe place just for teens. A place where everyone belongs.
EDGE@East is a fun, welcoming after-school space for all high school students (grades 9–12). Located directly across from Lakota East High School, the center provides teens with community, mentorship, academic support, and opportunities to grow—every school day.
At EDGE, all teens are valued, accepted, and encouraged to be themselves.
What Teens Can Do at EDGE@East
Eat
- Snacks and drinks available for purchase at the EDGE@Work Café
- Free healthy snacks, like fresh fruit, offered daily
Connect
- Build friendships with peers
- Develop meaningful relationships with safe, caring adults
- Take part in daily teen-focused programs and activities
- Access weekly to free mental health counseling
Hang Out
- Play video games (Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Wii)

- Quiet spaces for homework and studying
- Free homework help and academic support
Serve
EDGE helps students complete community service hours by connecting them with local organizations in need of volunteers.

Why EDGE Matters
Every teen is different. For some, EDGE@East is simply a safe place to be after school while parents are working.
For others, it becomes something much more.
EDGE offers teens a sense of connection, confidence, and purpose. It’s a place where they can grow as students, leaders, and people—guided by adults who care deeply about their future.

EDGE@East is open to all high school students (grades 9–12)—including students from any district and homeschoolers.
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026-27 ACADEMIC YEAR WILL OPEN JULY 1ST
How to enroll:
- The digital student registration form for the 2026-27 academic year needs to be completed prior to their second visit. Note: Teens may visit EDGE one time before completed forms are required.
- Each parent/guardian must acknowledge they read the EDGE Code of Conduct
- For any parent/guardian who consents to allow their teen to receive counseling services must fill out this additional digital Consent for Treatment form.
Frequently Asked Questions
There is no annual fee. Students have unlimited access during open hours. Because community service is a core value of EDGE, teens are asked to complete 5 hours of student service during the school year—either in the center or through community service opportunities.
No. Some students attend daily, others come occasionally. EDGE is here when you need it.
